A Weekly Check for Turning Interior Store Visits into Online Inquiries

A practical weekly routine for checking content, page layout, and business details so customers introduced to your site in-store can find their way to an inquiry or a store order.

Handing a customer your website address after a store consultation does not guarantee a follow-up: they may not find the information they need or know how to contact you. For an architecture or interior business, website creation starts by bringing the store’s guidance online. Rather than posting every project at once, organize the site so visitors can choose a clear next step.

Decide what the online site should do first

Start with a website if your priority is to show completed projects and receive consultation requests. Consider store creation if you intend to take orders for physical products such as lighting or handles. Do not assume that custom construction work can be sold through an ordinary product checkout. Explain product purchases and estimate consultations as separate paths.

TalkTalkMySite offers no-code templates, AI chat, and visual editing, so coding or design experience is not required to get started. These tools do not verify the finished site for you: the owner still needs to check photos, copy, layout, and business details. Basic is for a website, Standard for a store, and Premium for multilingual use. Choose according to the work you actually plan to operate.

Gather the material before publishing

For project photos, state the type of space and scope of work, and confirm that the images may be used publicly and that any required customer consent is in place. Put your store address, opening hours, contact number, services, service area, and inquiry response hours in one place. Briefly explain anything visitors should know before asking for an estimate, such as what information to provide or whether a site visit is needed.

Hypothetical example: “Corner Interior” gives store visitors a QR code linking to its site. The homepage shows a living-room renovation, the areas it serves, and a phone number and inquiry form. If the business also decides to sell lighting, it lists product details and shipping terms separately in the store, with distinct routes for renovation estimates and product orders. This example illustrates a possible setup; it does not describe a real business or its results.

The owner’s weekly check, in order

1. **Business details:** Confirm that the phone number, address, opening hours, and service area are current. 2. **Content:** Check that featured project photos display properly and descriptions are accurate. Remove outdated promotions or references to services that are no longer offered. 3. **Pages and inquiries:** Use a phone to follow the journey from the first screen through submitting an inquiry. Check that buttons, forms, and contact details are easy to find and work as intended. 4. **If you sell products:** Review product names, prices, stock, options, and shipping information. Test the order flow and payment setup. Payments, social login, domains, and shipping need to be configured when required. 5. **In-store handoff:** Decide which link or QR code staff should share, and when. Make sure the person responsible for incoming inquiries and the response hours are clear to the team.

Publish a small version and improve it

Begin with a few representative projects, accurate contact details, and a clear inquiry route. Each week, note where customers get stuck and fix one issue at a time. Search rankings and sales are not guaranteed, and you should not assume unlimited free use or error-free operation. This week, choose one question customers often ask and one project to show, then test the full inquiry process on a phone.
