For a design studio with a physical shop, a website can do more than display an address: it can answer visitors’ next questions. Start with what people need to know about your products, how to place an order, and how payment and shipping work. Clarifying those answers first makes the scope of your website and online store easier to decide.

Start with questions customers ask in person

Write down the questions you hear most often and assign each one a place on the site. Your studio story and work can go on an About page; product dimensions, materials, and use instructions can go on product pages; address and opening hours belong in a visit guide; and order, shipping, and exchange details can go in a purchase information section. Check business policies with the person responsible before publishing them, so the site does not describe a process you do not actually follow.

Put the website address or a QR code on a sign or card in the shop, along with a short explanation of what customers will find there. Someone browsing an item might need its full description; someone buying a gift might want to check packaging and shipping information. Keep each prompt focused on one useful next step.

Gather materials and map the pages

Before building, collect: - Your logo, key images, brand introduction, and shop photos - Product names, photos, prices, options, and stock information - The shop address, opening hours, and contact method - The operational details needed for payments, shipping, and order updates

**Hypothetical example — a small graphic design studio:** The studio sells posters and postcards in its shop. Its website has a studio introduction, a shop-visit guide, and frequently asked questions. The online store has separate poster and postcard pages, with size, paper, price, and stock information available to check. A card in the shop says, “Check product details and how to order,” so visitors know what the link is for. This example illustrates a possible structure; it does not describe real products or policies.

Choose and configure a no-code tool

TalkTalkMySite offers no-code templates, AI chat, and visual editing. You can get started without coding or design experience, but that does not remove the need for owner review. Check the wording, images, page layout, and business details yourself rather than assuming generated content is accurate. The Basic plan is for a website, Standard is for a store, and Premium is for multilingual use. Choose according to what you need; review translations and business information separately in each language.

Payments, social login, domains, and shipping need to be set up. Do not stop at seeing that a setting exists: follow the customer journey and check that ordering and the relevant information work as intended.

Pre-launch checks and a practical next step

  • Review text, images, and navigation on both a phone and a computer.
  • Compare product names, prices, options, stock, and contact details with your records.
  • Confirm that payment, domain, and shipping settings match how you operate.
  • Check whether each page linked from an in-store sign answers the visitor’s question.

Search rankings and sales are not guaranteed. Do not assume unlimited free use or that the site will contain no mistakes. As a manageable next step, choose three questions customers commonly ask and one product, gather the materials for them, then review the mobile layout and test the ordering flow before expanding the site.
