Bakery Website Creation: Learn from a Before-and-After AI Edit
A hypothetical example for bakery owners who do not code: learn how to request specific changes to menus and ordering information, then review the result yourself.
Bakery Website Creation: Learn from a Before-and-After AI Edit Bakery Website Creation: Learn from a Before-and-After AI Edit
When creating a bakery website, a request such as “make it look nice” does not tell the AI what to change. Start by deciding what the site is for. Is it an informational site for your location and opening hours, or an online store that displays products and takes orders? The choice affects both the layout and the materials you need. TalkTalkMySite offers no-code templates, AI chat, and visual editing, so coding or design experience is not required to get started. However, owners still need to check the content and layout and refine business details themselves.
Decide what you need and gather materials
The Basic plan is for a website, Standard is for a store, and Premium is for multilingual use. Choosing a store plan does not complete the setup for online sales: payments and shipping require configuration. Social login and a custom domain also require setup if you want to use them.
Before you begin, gather your bakery’s name, address, opening hours, contact details, menu names and prices, product descriptions, and photos. If you plan to sell online, also organize which items can be ordered and the shipping information. Check that each photo matches the actual product, and verify that menu details and prices are current before publishing.
Hypothetical example: Mina’s neighborhood bakery
Before the edit, Mina’s site had several product photos, but its signature items and prices were hard to spot. Visitors also could not tell whether online ordering was available. Mina sends the AI chat this request: “Put the heading ‘Bread baked today’ on the first screen. Under it, show our signature whole-wheat loaf and its price. Place the opening hours and store address below the first screen. Do not say that we take orders; for now, show only information for visiting the store.”
After the edit, the signature item and store information are easier to find, and wording that could imply online ordering has been removed. This is a hypothetical example, not a guarantee that every edit will produce the same result. State the order and exact wording you want, then check whether the edited page is easy to read on a phone as well.
Make requests specific
Include the location to change, the information to show, the desired order, and anything the page must not claim. For example: “On the product page, make the allergen information easy to find. Use only the wording I provide, and do not add ingredient information that has not been confirmed.” AI may guess facts or alter wording, so compare product names, prices, ingredient information, and contact details with your source materials.
- [ ] Have you decided between an informational site and an online store?
- [ ] Have you prepared menu items, prices, opening hours, address, and photos?
- [ ] Have you checked whether payments, social login, a domain, or shipping need setup?
- [ ] After editing, have you checked the content and layout on both a phone and a computer?
Set realistic expectations and take the next step
A website tool does not guarantee search rankings or sales. Do not assume that use is unlimited and free or that mistakes will never happen; check the applicable terms and your setup yourself. First, write down on one page what customers need to know, then decide whether an informational site is enough or you need a store. Add your prepared materials to create the first screen, make one change request at a time as in the example, and review each result. This gives you a manageable way to begin creating a bakery website.
