Breaking AI Editing Requests into Small Changes: A Practical Workflow for Architecture and Interior Sites

Instead of asking AI to redo an entire page, set one goal and edit one element at a time. This step-by-step workflow helps first-time architecture and interior site operators write requests, review results, and keep changes under control.

Architecture and interior design websites often bring together project photography, descriptions of different spaces, and consultation information on a single page. If you begin with a request like “Make the page look more sophisticated,” it can be difficult to tell what changed, and content you wanted to keep may also be altered. Set one goal at a time, make the change through AI chat or visual editing, review the result, and only then move to the next request.

1. Set the scope and your review criteria first

Before treating the published page as your reference, look over the current screen. Note which section you want to edit, what must stay as it is, and what would count as a successful change. It is easier to review a request when it focuses on one goal within one section.

  • Name the section. For example: “Edit only the introduction text in the homepage hero section.”
  • List what must stay unchanged. For example: keep the project photos, navigation, and consultation button.
  • Define the completion criteria. For example: visitors should be able to see that the studio offers both residential remodeling and commercial-space design from the first screen.
  • Save the current copy and images or take a screenshot before editing.

**Hypothetical example:** A small interior design studio notices that its homepage makes residential inquiries seem like its only area of work. The operator decides to revise only the introduction text and leave the project photos and consultation button untouched.

2. Phrase the AI request as an observable change

Include the location, what to change, what to preserve, and how you will judge the result. Rather than relying only on a broad phrase like “make it more polished,” describe what information should appear and in what order. For claims that need verification, such as project history or material specifications, explicitly tell AI to use only the information you provide.

  • Location: “The introduction text in the homepage hero section”
  • Change: “Organize it into two sentences that present both residential remodeling and commercial-space design.”
  • Preserve: “Do not change the project photos or button text.”
  • Criteria: “Make it easy for visitors to distinguish the studio’s two service areas at a glance.”
  • Limit: “Do not add awards, project examples, or prices that I have not provided.”

You can include these points in one request, but do not also ask for a photo replacement or a page-structure change at the same time. If the result misses your intention, use the next request to address just one specific issue.

3. Review the result on screen before moving on

TalkTalkMySite supports AI chat and visual editing. You can request copy or a direction for a change in chat, then inspect the affected section on the actual screen. If you can select a page element, visual editing can help narrow the scope to that element. The presence of these features does not mean every request will be applied exactly as intended or that site errors will disappear, so the operator must review the result directly.

**Hypothetical example:** After the first request updates the introduction, the operator sees that it is so long the consultation button is no longer easy to notice in the hero section. The second request is limited to: “Shorten the introduction to two sentences and retain the service areas I provided.” Photo cropping and button placement are handled in separate steps.

  • After each request, review both the changed section and the surrounding elements.
  • Check factual accuracy, spacing, sentence length, and how the text relates to the button.
  • If something differs from your intention, request a correction to that part only.
  • Keep the original content in case you need to restore it.

4. Handle photography and layout separately from copy

On an architecture or interior design site, a single image can create an impression that does not match the project description. After finishing the copy, review the photography separately. If an image needs replacing, specify the section and the qualities you want. TalkTalkMySite supports searching licensed stock images and videos, but a search result is not necessarily a photo of a real project or material supplied by the user. Check its source and intended use, and do not present it as an actual completed project.

  • If you replace an image, specify which image in which section.
  • Describe the desired qualities. For example: “A small residential space with natural light, a calm feel, and minimal decoration.”
  • Check that the new image is consistent with the project description.
  • After changing an image, check its crop and the readability of nearby text on mobile screens as well.

The hero slider supports up to five images. Rather than adding images simply because multiple slots are available, check that each one supports the same message.

5. Check before publishing and choose the next task

Once you have reviewed the edits, check the copy, images, navigation, and consultation path in the preview and on the published page. If you change several elements at once, it becomes harder to locate the source of a problem. Move only reviewed changes to the next step. No edit can guarantee search rankings or more visits.

  • Confirm that only the requested section changed.
  • Read the content to make sure it has not acquired unsupported claims about projects, materials, or services.
  • On desktop and mobile, check line breaks, image crops, and whether buttons are easy to use.
  • Click the consultation button and navigation yourself to confirm they lead to the intended pages.
  • Record what changed and the one next item to review.

TalkTalkMySite offers shared SEO on Basic, per-page SEO and stores on Standard, and multilingual stores on Premium.
