Beauty Brand Shared SEO Titles and Descriptions: A First-Time Editor’s Workflow

Follow a practical workflow for setting shared SEO titles and descriptions for a beauty brand site in TalkTalkMySite. Check the wording, understand when per-page SEO may be useful, and review what you can and cannot verify after publishing.

Shared SEO titles and descriptions provide default information for multiple pages of a site in search results. Rather than exaggerating product effects or repeating the same description everywhere, explain clearly which brand this is and what kinds of products it offers. A title or description alone cannot guarantee search rankings or visitor numbers.

1. Check the scope and plan first

TalkTalkMySite Basic supports shared SEO. Per-page SEO, which lets you set a different title and description for each page, is supported on Standard. First decide whether shared settings are sufficient. Separate page settings may be useful when pages have distinct search intent, such as a product detail page versus a brand introduction, but availability depends on the plan.

  • In the site editor, look for an SEO or shared site settings section. Check the current editor layout for the exact menu name and location.
  • Look for fields for a shared title and description. If they are unavailable, check whether your plan includes the feature.
  • Copy the current wording before changing it so you have a reference if you need to restore it.

2. Put the brand and offering in the title

Arrange the brand name and main product category in an easy-to-read order. Do not cram in repeated terms as search keywords; keep the title consistent with what the site actually offers.

  • Hypothetical example: “Ongyeol Skincare | Daily Care for Sensitive Skin” pairs a brand with its product category.
  • Do not claim effects the brand does not actually provide, such as “medical treatment” or “instant improvement.”
  • Ask whether someone seeing the title for the first time can tell which brand it is and what kind of site they will visit.

3. Use the description to explain what visitors can find

Write a natural sentence describing the product types and what visitors can do on the site. Prioritize information the site really provides, such as browsing products, checking ingredients, or reading usage instructions. Do not assert unverified effects or certifications.

  • Hypothetical example: “Explore Ongyeol’s daily skincare products and ingredient information, and check how to use each product.”
  • Add information that the title does not cover instead of simply repeating the title.
  • Read the sentence aloud. Make sure it does not describe just one product when it is being used as the shared description for the whole site.

4. Review the live site after entering the text

After saving, open representative pages and compare the title and description with the current brand name, product range, and site content. Filling in an editor field does not guarantee exactly how a search result will appear. Search services may compose or display result text themselves.

  • Check spelling, brand styling, and product categories.
  • Look for draft text, repetitive wording, and unverified claims about product effects.
  • If possible, check the published page for the change. However, neither the timing of search updates nor the way text will appear is guaranteed.

5. Expand only where you need to

If the shared wording does not fit a product detail page, first define that page’s visitor intent and the information it provides. When using Standard’s per-page SEO, write a distinct title and description for each page rather than copying the same text across unrelated pages. HEAD meta tags work on published sites. Custom scripts run only on connected customer domains, so do not add an arbitrary script as a way to enter shared SEO copy.

  • Next action: Copy the current shared title and description, revise them once using the checks above, and compare the result with the published site’s content.
  • If you need different search information for individual pages, check whether your plan supports per-page SEO, then write the highest-priority pages first.
