Updating an Event Planner Website: Organize URLs and Content First

Before rebuilding an existing site with no-code tools, review old URLs and event details. A labelled hypothetical agency example shows a before-and-after revision and a practical check order.

When rebuilding an existing website with no-code tools, it is safer to organize URLs and content before choosing a new design. Event information becomes outdated quickly, and an old registration link or phone number can mislead visitors. First decide which pages you need and which details must stay current.

1. Make a list of URLs and materials

Create a list of your current pages and mark each one to keep, move to a new page, or retire. Record menu labels and page titles as well. Prioritize what visitors actually look for, such as event information, planning examples, contact details, and an introduction to the business. Decide whether past-event pages should remain as an archive or point visitors to current event information, and check whether old registration links still work.

Prepare current event names, dates, venues, audiences, and registration instructions, along with the company introduction, contact details for the responsible person, and the images you plan to use and their sources. If you change or combine URLs, decide where visitors from the old addresses should go. Any required redirect or connection settings need to be checked directly, including whether they are within the available support scope.

2. Hypothetical example: “Moa Event Planning,” before and after

In this hypothetical case, Moa Event Planning’s old homepage still showed a registration button for a spring event that had already passed. Its menu also listed “Event Information” and “Program” separately, repeating much of the same content. The phone number on the contact page no longer belonged to the current person in charge. Simply rewriting the copy while leaving the site structure untouched would not resolve the confusion.

After the revision, the homepage featured an upcoming autumn corporate workshop and a contact button. The event information and program were combined on one page. The spring event moved to a “Past Events” section, with its date and the fact that registration had closed clearly noted; the outdated registration button was removed. The contact page displayed the confirmed main contact number. This is a hypothetical editing example. In a real rebuild, each URL and its destination still needs to be checked separately.

3. What to check after choosing a no-code tool

TalkTalkMySite offers no-code templates, AI chat, and visual editing, so you can get started without coding or design experience. However, the tool does not guarantee that event dates or contact details are correct. Owners must review the content, layout, and business information. Basic is for a website, Standard for a store, and Premium for multilingual use. Choose the plan type that fits how you handle event inquiries or sales.

  • List existing page URLs and menu items.
  • Confirm dates, venues, registration status, and contact details with the responsible person.
  • Choose one clear next action for visitors on each page.
  • After editing, check the menu, buttons, and contact information on a phone.

Payments, social login, domains, and shipping require setup if you need them. Search rankings and sales results are not guaranteed, and you cannot assume there will be zero mistakes. Start by revising one or two essential pages, preview them, and verify the URLs and event details yourself before deciding the scope of the full rebuild.
