A Solo Founder’s 7-Step Mobile Check Before Launch
Before publishing a no-code website or store, check its mobile layout, copy, contact path, and checkout in order. This beginner checklist includes the materials to gather and a clearly labelled hypothetical example.
Starting with a no-code tool does not remove the need for a pre-launch review. TalkTalkMySite offers no-code templates, AI chat, and visual editing; coding or design experience is not required to get started. The owner still needs to verify the content, layout, and business details. Use the sequence below to check each item on a phone.
Gather these materials first
Have a phone ready and, if possible, another device with a different screen size. Collect your website address, business hours, contact details, service descriptions or product names, prices, photos, and shipping information in one place. First make sure the information shown on the site matches how your business currently operates. If you sell online, also check that the required payment and shipping settings have been completed.
Seven mobile checks before publishing
1. **First screen:** When the page opens, is it immediately clear what the business offers and what a visitor should do next? Check that key copy and buttons are not pushed off the screen. 2. **Menu and navigation:** Test every menu item with a finger and confirm each link opens the intended page. Check where the logo takes visitors, too. 3. **Text and images:** Make sure text is readable on a small screen and line breaks do not look awkward. Check that photos are not cropped unexpectedly or covered by text, and that they support the message. 4. **Business details:** Compare information visitors rely on—such as contact details, hours, service scope, and product details—with the current facts. Make sure the information does not contradict itself across pages. 5. **Contact path:** Tap the contact button and try the fields. Confirm the instructions are understandable, and decide how you will verify that an inquiry has actually arrived. 6. **Sales path:** For a store, test the available steps from selecting a product through the cart and checkout. Payment methods and social login may need separate setup. Domains and shipping also require configuration and checking by the owner. 7. **Final pass:** After making changes, reopen the first screen and key pages. Check on a small phone and another screen size that buttons, copy, and images remain usable before publishing.
Hypothetical example: a one-person pottery studio
The fictional owner of “Sandlight Studio” checks the mobile home screen for class information and a booking inquiry button, then compares the address and hours with the actual business details. If the studio sells cups online, the owner separately checks product photos and descriptions, prices, shipping settings, and the checkout flow. This is a hypothetical example, not a claim that the same setup fits every business; adapt the checks to your own operating conditions.
Decide what you need, then take the next step
TalkTalkMySite’s Basic plan is for a website, Standard for a store, and Premium for a multilingual setup. Choose according to the functions you need, but do not assume that selecting a plan automatically completes payment, social login, domain, or shipping setup. You can edit content after launch, but search rankings and sales are not guaranteed, nor are free unlimited use or error-free results.
Fix one issue at a time and recheck the same screen after each change. Then ask someone you trust to review the key pages on a phone. Note any remaining problems, address them, and decide whether the site is ready to publish.
