A Pre-Build Content Checklist for Produce Sellers

What should you decide before editing a farm website or store yourself? Organize pages, product details, and selling terms first, then test a sample page before building out the rest.

For a produce website, accurate information matters as much as an attractive layout. Before you build, separate the content so customers can understand what you grow and find clear ordering and delivery information. TalkTalkMySite offers no-code templates, AI chat, and visual editing, so you can get started without coding or design experience. However, the seller is responsible for checking and editing the content, layout, and business details.

1. Decide what the site needs to do

  • If your main goal is to introduce your farm and crops, consider the website setup in Basic.

  • If you want to display products and take orders, check whether the store setup in Standard meets your needs.
  • If you need to provide information in more than one language, consider the multilingual setup in Premium.
  • Decide whether to combine an introduction and sales on one site, and what you want visitors to do first.

Choose a plan based on the setup you need. Payments, social login, domain connection, and shipping require setup, so list the ones you intend to use before you begin.

2. Sort your content by page

On the home page, place your farm name, main crops, key information, and contact method. On product pages, gather the product name, real product photos, unit of sale, options, price, stock, and ordering instructions. Use the farm introduction page for your growing practices and work in the fields. On the ordering and delivery page, explain dispatch timing, delivery coverage, and how customers can ask questions. Do not guess at details that do not apply or that you have not confirmed; verify them before publishing.

Preparation checklist: - Confirm business details such as farm name, contact information, and operating hours. - Organize photos, descriptions, prices, and units of sale for each product. - Decide on payment methods and delivery terms that match your actual operation. - Note your menu labels, page order, and where contact buttons should appear. - Review every page and all copy on a mobile screen before publishing.

3. Edit a small sample first

Instead of adding every product at once, build a sample page for one representative crop. For example, **hypothetical example—Haetdeul Farm** first adds a photo, unit of sale, and ordering instructions for a single apple product, then checks whether the text and buttons are easy to see on a mobile screen. The farm name and product are fictional and are included only to illustrate the process. You can use AI chat or visual editing to draft copy and adjust the page, but personally verify details where an error matters, such as variety, price, and harvest timing.

4. Review before publishing, then expand

Use the preview to check links, contact details, product information, the ordering flow, and delivery instructions before publishing. If you need payments, social login, a domain, or shipping, configure each one and confirm that it works. A website-building tool does not guarantee search rankings or sales, nor does it promise unlimited free use or a result with no mistakes.

Your next step is to complete the checklist and practice editing one representative product. Once you have reviewed it, add the remaining pages using the same standards.
